Pulling the Plug on Corporate Profit
Employee Health and Productivity Management
The correlation is undeniable: healthy, well-functioning employees have higher job satisfaction and are more productive. Poor employee health not only hinders organizational success, but also is a significant contributor to the rise in health care costs that are draining corporate profits. Double-digit increases in health care costs have become a national norm, but even more alarming is that indirect medical costs (e.g., absenteeism, presenteeism, and replacement labor) of overall poor employee health is estimated to be two to three times that of direct medical costs. Poor employee health is not only a concern in terms of corporate culture, but it is also becoming an economic crisis for many organizations.

This presentation explores:

The data behind the trends—how does poor employee health impact health care costs and overall productivity?
What the “best in class” organizations are doing to increase the health of their employees and leverage their human capital investment.
The core components of a results-based worksite wellness program.
